Markets are no longer theoretical: they’re shaping how we allocate water, fund restoration and manage risk.  But should governments build markets or just set the rules? Who really benefits – participants or the wider public?  Can markets work for small, not just big players? And how do we ensure they deliver more than economic benefit for participants and intermediaries – resilience, equity, transparency and shared value?

This session brings together policymakers, technologists, investors and standards bodies to explore how water markets can become markets for good: unlocking water’s full value for society and nature.
