Jiro Takada
Jiro Takada is a Director for the Water Section at the Bureau of Waterworks, Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and a civil engineer with more than 20 years of experience in the water sector. Throughout his career, he has worked across a wide range of functions, including capital planning for water facilities, asset maintenance, and construction supervision at major purification plants. He currently leads programs on leakage prevention and customer-side water service equipment. Takada also brings expertise from national water policy, having worked at Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on flood embankment planning and climate-resilient river management, and at the Bureau of Urban Development, Tokyo Metropolitan Government on long-term water resource development planning. He holds multiple professional certifications in Japan, including Professional Engineer (Water Supply and Sewerage) and Certified Concrete Diagnosis Engineer.
