Dr. Jo Burgess is the Director of the Trial Reservoirs Initiative at Isle Utilities and CEO of the Tech Ascend Foundation. Specializing in de-risking high-potential water technologies, she bridges the gap between innovation and commercial scale. A former Chairman of the Water Institute of Southern Africa and a Distinguished Fellow of the IWA, Jo led South Africa’s National Water R&D Roadmap. With a PhD from Cranfield University and over 130 publications, she remains a leading voice in global water ecosystem innovation.
