Karla Bertocco Trindade

Karla Bertocco Trindade is a senior executive and board member with 20+ years of leadership and C-level experience across both public and private sector, with a strong focus on water and sanitation, sustainable infrastructure and public private partnerships in Brazil. In 2019 she served as managing director of the Government and Infrastructure division at BNDES ' Brazilian Development Bank, and prior to this position was CEO of SABESP ' S'o Paulo Water and Sanitation Company, responsible for providing water and sewage services to more than 28 million people in the state of S'o Paulo/Brazil. She was also appointed as the Undersecretary for Partnerships and Innovation at the S'o Paulo State Government (2015-2018), in charge of PPP's and privatizations in different sectors. Her previous positions also include Managing Director at ARSESP (2007-2010) ' S'o Paulo Water and Energy Regulatory Authority, and Head of Sabesp's CEO's office (2004-2007). Since 2023, she is the chairwoman of Sabes's board, driving the company's privatization and transformation process, and is also chair of both the Strategic and the Sustainability Committees. She is also an independent board member at Orizon, a listed company in the waste industry. Ms. Trindade holds a degree in public administration from Funda''o Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP), a law degree from Pontificia Universidade Cat'lica de S'o Paulo (PUC ' SP) and a post graduated degree in Administrative Law, also from FGV.
