Rose is the CEO and Founder of Biota, a VC-backed start-up developing a field-deployable 'lab-in-a-box' testing solution for PFAS in wastewater. Biota's fully automated, user-friendly platform will provide laboratory-quality PFAS testing in minutes rather than weeks, enabling communities to source-track contamination, mitigate risks in near real-time, and comply with evolving regulations. Prior to founding Biota, Rose led one of the nation's first commercial COVID-19 wastewater monitoring programs, supporting over 100 communities during the pandemic. She is a published biochemist with peer-reviewed research spanning virology, point-of-care infectious disease diagnostics, evolutionary biology, vaccine development, and wastewater-based epidemiology.
